Triona Marshall's playing has been described
as elegant and awe inspiring. "Her notes ring with a precision
that few harpists can emulate, her ability to weave melodies through
her fingers is truly breathtaking and the artistry of her musicianship
can bring tears to the eyes."
Traveling the world with the
Chieftains, for whom she has played since 2003, Triona has
also transpired a multitude of musical disciplines through her
rich musical background.
Her vigorous classical harp training culminated
in the post of Principal Harpist with the RTE
Concert Orchestra in Ireland, a post which exposed her to
various genres from Jazz to Medieval, Classical to Modern. Out
of this vast mix of musical influences has blossomed one of the
finest exponents of Irish harp playing around today.
Triona has recently started a new band
